Every day we coexist with emotions: we are what we feel. Emotions are the internal reflection of a given situation that changes our way of feeling in one way or another. Emotions take root in us, leading us to behave in a particular way and on occasions making it difficult for us to maintain a rational control over ourselves.
Aimed at Primary School pupils, this course will involve looking at the different emotions that works of art in the museum arouse in us in order to compare them with similar situations in everyday life.
By analysing them more closely, we will be aiming to acquire greater linguistic competence that will allow us to put names to emotions and thus better understand how and why certain circumstances in life affect us.

Workshop visit

During the workshop visit participants will engage in creative practice in order to give visual and motor form to specific emotions. How can we visually express feelings such as frustration, gratitude, affection, etc?

Space contains everything that exists. Although we cannot see it, it is always present and we move through it and inhabit it.
In this activity we will be looking at the way art represents space and its uses, relating it to our own experiences as inhabitants of a wide variety of different places.

We will analyse the different ways of moving around the Museum, school, our homes or the street, seeing how all of us project our identities in the space we occupy in order to locate ourselves in it and make it our own.

Workshop visit
During the workshop visit, participants will produce creative work in order to design their own space in which they can project aspects of their identities such as their personal preferences, desires, ways of being and the way they relate to others, etc.

How can we travel without moving from the spot? Dreams, art and literary fantasy reveal distant places outside the usual parameters and aesthetics. Spurred by a desire to approach the unknown, many travellers visit remote, inhospitable places in search of an unknown but tempting destiny. Their experiences have undoubtedly inspired striking descriptions that fuse the real with the imaginary.

Can reality go beyond fiction?

Workshop visit
As with the Visit, we will be looking at travel as discovery or as an imaginative choice through different artistic ideas.

Taking a group approach, in the Workshop we will create an invented space and consider the nature of a traveller’s experience who crosses into the realm of the unknown for the first time without any preconceived idea of the place or way of life.
