  • Date and time:

    28 July to 1 August From 5pm

Darío de Regoyos was the Spanish artist closest to the Impressionist movement and one of the most unique painters in Spain of his day. Regoyos was familiar with the new artistic trends in Belgium and France and was a friend of artists such as James Ensor, Paul Signac, Georges Seurat, Camille Pissarro and Théo van Rysselberghe. Particularly interested in light, Regoyos experimented with brushstroke and moved from a more traditional manner to a freer one, even experimenting with Pointillism. His work represents an early approach to modernity and harmony within the context of Spanish art of the time.

For 5 days, the Museum’s Artistic Director, Lourdes Moreno (@lourdesmoreno_m), will be introducing us to a series of key aspects of the life and work of this painter in the form of a dialogue in which users of Twitter can participate.
