Divisionism

In 1887 Regoyos became interested in Pointillism, or Divisionism, after seeing in Paris and Brussels the first works by Seurat, Signac and Pissarro. The Nets (1893) is a masterpiece of this period, which would be short-lived (from 1892 to 1894) as the technique prevented Regoyos from working outdoors.

However, he occasionally used the characteristic Pointillist touch, though never extensively, to achieve new textures and effects of light in his landscapes.
