The Artist

By way of an introduction to the painter, the exhibition begins in the Sala Noble (first floor) with a self-portrait, portraits by friends, including Théo van Rysselberghe's Guitarist: Portrait of the Spanish Painter Darío Regoyos (1882), that reveal the artist's more human side, and books and documents that put his life and work in perspective.
