Introduction

The Museum’s educational programme for the 2012 to 2013 season will continue with activities aimed at the widest possible range of participants. It thus aims to consolidate the concept of a participative Museum, to be enjoyed in a manner that goes beyond the mere observation and appreciation of the works of and in which participation, debate and opinion are fundamental pillars that ensure the Museum’s full participation in society.

Among our aims continue to be those of establishing dialogues and bridges with other disciplines and ways of thinking and promoting reflection and analysis from a critical perspective.

As with last season’s programme, this new series of activities is divided into three principal sections:

The first focuses on Educational and social centres and covers all educational levels: Infant, Primary, Secondary and University, in addition to encounters with teachers. The Thyssen JOINS IN programme, which supports people at risk of social exclusion or with functional diversity, offers specific resources to associations, social and occupational centres.

The second block of activities, Free Time, focuses on informal educational activities based on participations, play and the construction of collective experiences from the starting point of artistic ideas. This section includes activities for families, young people, adults and the creative workshops.

Co-Laboratories offer a space for critical reflection, encompassing EducaLab and TYSNLab.
