Centros educativos y sociales
The activities within the various programmes for educational and social centres focus on expanding and diversifying the contents of the curriculum appropriate to each school level within the public system.
Alongside the specific aims of each activity the Department also aims to work transversally on the development of personal self-esteem, capacity for dialogue, tolerance, co-education and gender equality, group work and critical expression.
In order to embark on a process that will bring us closer to these goals, the Department makes use of the Critical Pedagogy model while also favouring an approach that integrates different procedures according to the needs of the programmes and the persons at whom they are aimed. We make use of the dynamics of open questions for visual analysis, work in small discussion groups, significant comparisons, autonomous learning based on experience and numerous other tools that facilitate dialogue-based participation and the conceptualisation of knowledge.
The Education Department conceives of the Museum as a vast pedagogical resource and at the same time as a further tool for the educational community. Its intention is to establish an ongoing dialogue with each centre, each group and each pupil and teacher.
